| CP |
Character Points. These are points gained that can be spent on your
character to improve their skills. |
| MP |
Monster Points. These are points gained while monstering that can be
translated into CPs at a ratio dependant on what rank your character is.
You can spend no more than 30 MPs on a character at any one time without
explicit permission from the ref team. |
| Phys Rep |
Physical Representation. An OOC object that is being used to
represent an IC object. |
| PC |
Player Character. Normal characters are called PCs. |
| NPC |
Non-Player Character. A character that does not belong to a player,
and is generally played by a monster, GM or Ref. |
| DPC |
A player-character that is present under the direction of the GM to
fulfil a particular role. Generally there is no risk to their character,
and they gain no CP. |
| GM |
Games Master. Someone who is responsible for running the game. |
| Ref |
Referee; a member of the ref team, five people who oversee Elysium
and handle all the admin required to keep it going. |
| Monster, Monster Crew |
The monster crew is the group of people that play the roles that the
player party will be going against. They may play anything from a goblin
to a necromancer to a stolen child, all in one day. |
| LARP Safe |
Whether the item in question is safe to LARP with. For full details
on how to check whether armour or weaponry is safe for use, please see
our safety section.

| String Mail |
A type of fabric that looks very much like chain mail. Generally
frowned upon as a 'cheat', the maximum armour value you will be awarded
for it is non-metal. |
| Uptime |
What takes place on a game, meal, residential event is referred to
as happening in 'uptime'. |
| Downtime |
Anything that takes place anywhere but uptime is called 'downtime'.
Different GMs have different rules to how much a character may achieve,
if anything, during downtime. |
