The Ref Team

Referees (or Refs) are the people who handle the day to day running of Elysium, and all associated responsibilities. There are 5 Refs, each voted into the positions annually in early April. The maximum length of time any of these positions may be held is three years. Every year, all nominees for the positions must be voted in, regardless of whether they held the position the year before. The old ref team steps down and the new ref team steps up at the end of September, in correlation with the rules change. The ref team email address is [you must log in to see the email address]

Currently held by: Judith Owens

The Head Ref is responsible for overseeing coordination and communication between the other 4 Refs and has final say on any dispute. They should also be ready and able to step into doing any of the other Ref's tasks if there is too much to do, or the Ref in question is unable to do their task. However, their primary responsibility is that they also oversee the rules change AGM and rules release each year. They are the only member of the club who has to remain unbiased in the rules debate, and for this reason they do not have a vote in the changes.

The treasurer is responsible for collecting membership and playing fees, for budgeting for the coming year, and for suggesting where money could be spent.

The Kit&Social Ref is responsible for keeping track of all club kit and making sure it's in usable condition, judging weapon and armour safety and assigning armour values on games. They also arrange IC meals.

The Web&Organiser ref is responsible for attendance lists, collating photographs (or the email address of those who have them), updating the site, or passing the relevant info on to those who do the updating and keeping track of records such as IC/OOC penalties and the list of current club kit.

Currently held by: Emma Millington

The campaign ref is different from the other 4 refs in that they are not voted into their position, but are selected for it by the other refs. This position may be held for only a year at a time, rather than the normal 3. They are responsible for running the low level campaign, and all that pertains to it.
